Firmware upgrade

I've been trying to get the MediaPortal MiniDisplay plugin (V03_03_2009)working with my iMon VFD. I have a Silverstone LC16M with Firmware version 0x87.

After a lot of trial and error with the display working but remote not, I discovered the "Use SG_VFD.dll (VFD with old firmware)" option, this appears to get things working.

My question is, can the firmware be updated on these VFDs and how does one go about doing it? If not, are these older firmware versions going to be supported in the Aug 31 iMon update for Mediaportal?

To answer my own question: I checked with Silverstone tech support and the VFD does not support firmware updates.

Dear Chubler,

The current iMON hardware does not support the firmware update.
However, the update for MediaPortal will support without regarding the firmware version of hardware. The target of this update is to make all iMON hardware work with MediaPortal.

However, there maybe some delay on the update for MediaPortal because there need many thing to be prepared.
