Hi everyone - first post noob, so please forgive me if I'm asking a dumb question.
My iMon Remote Pad appears to have stopped working all of a sudden. I have tried replacing batteries etc., but it's no good. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iMon, but still no good. I would like to try testing a third party remote to see whether it's the IR detector or the remote itself, but I cannot find out how to add a third-party remote. When I go into iMon Manager-Remote Controller, the drop down box is populated with IMON PAD, and I cannot select any other value - the drop-down is greyed out. Any ideas?
Any assistance would be really great....
Cheers

If it is not help to solve the problem, please let me know the firmware version of the iMON you have.
The firmware version number can be gotten at the iMON Manager > Options > Version/Update.

i have same problem with the drop-down box being greyed out (my remote is working fine though). I tried the steps mentioned in the link given above with no luck.
The firmware is version 0x28 (how old is this ?) so im suspecting that this is the reason why i cant select MCE remote type ?

Dear Svante,
iMON HW(FW 0x28) does not support MCE remote.
We didn’t product this model any more since 3~4 years ago.
Only PAD remote can be worked with it.

The remotes from All-For-One work very well with my Sound Graph equipment and software. I purchased several of them as my wife only wants to use one remote for the TV, VCR, and my HTPC (Silver Stone LC16M case based unit with a built-in VFD/IR). The All-For-One company has the codes for the Sound Graph iMON Pad remote. If the IMON PAD remote device and codes are not in the remote that you have/purchase, all you need to do send them the remote and ask for the Sound Graph iMON PAD codes to be added. They will update the remote(s) and send them back to you for FREE.
I purchased the URC6690 and had the "Sound Graph iMON PAD" codes added as "Video Accessaory/Cable-Satellite" device 2037 (aka N2037 on my update request). If I were to do it again, I would purchase a non-Kameleon model as that part of the remote's keyboard does not show the keys until you touch that area. My personal preference is to have "real" permanently labeled keys for all of the buttons. I have used remotes from "One for All" for many years without issue. My non-technical wife is even very comfortable and happy with them.
The additions of the Sound Graph iMON PAD device (and codes) was a simple, painless, and quick process. The company was also very helpful and professional with providing information for whole process. The only cost to you is the initial shipping/mailing to get the remote to them (include your return address and device that you need to have added, i.e. "Sound Graph iMON PAD"). I used the cheapest Canada Post method - with out insurance. My remotes cost me about (Canadian) $20 each.
The the updatred remotes, I configured the iMON Manager to set it to the iMON PAD remote. iMediam HD worked immediately as it should.
I hope that this help you and anyone that wishes to reduce the number of remotes kicking around.
