Hi!
I just bought and installed the Antec Veris Elite VFD and at first it was working with no problems.
Now whenever i use it it seems to glitch and keeps saying i'm pressing up on the keyboard or remote (windows CMD UP arrow).
I can't seem to stop it from doing this, it has a mind of its own!
Any help would be great.
Maybe it's a conflict of drivers but i'm unsure.

I suggest you read the thread "frontview pops up without any action" in iMON Manager section. He have/had a simlilar problem. This behaviour appears due to electrical short somewhere according to Soundgraph. Check the cables to your imon unit.

Thanks for your help, i have checked all cables to imon unit and have also tried everything on the "frontview pops up without action" thread but still no joy.
Thanks anyway

Well, you said it was working at first and this should mean you connected the thing right. If I was you i'd take it back where you bought it and get a new one, just to rule out the possibility you have a faulty product right now.

Dear Chaggy78,

As majstang said, the problem you said is the same one at the thread "frontview pops up without any action" in iMON Manager section (http://htpcinside.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58).

Especially check the quotes below (Please focus on bold red color).

Dear etoel,

It is not a software problem but there maybe something hardware problem. Though no button on remote pushed, something electrical shortage are now making non real signal and send it to iMON Manager Software.

Please replace your case into new one from the store you purchased it.

If you'd like to confirm it's hardware problem, you could check how it works after removing(unscrewing PCB board from chassis but maintaining cable connections) iMON hardware from the chassis.

Thanks and best regards,

Hmm

I have just replaced the hardware (new PCB, USB cable and MB PW cable) and I still have the same problem :(

I switched the remote setting to MCE remote (I use that through a seperate receiver) but the problem persisted.

I did try it once before mounting it and it did seem to work before I mounted it back into the case. What can make it go bananas like this just from mounting it in the case?

Regards

Edit: The only difference I can find from my first test is that the cables are now bundled together with some other cables (as it was originally). Is this a problem?

Dear etoel,

If it was OK before mounting PCB to the chassis but problem occurs after mounting, there seems to be something electrical short. Could you try to insulate electrically the PCB from the mounting parts? For example, use an insulating tape between them.

If you think it is annoying, please replace the case into new one.

Thanks and best regards,
slash.kim

If you think it's annoying thing to check the electrical-short, please contact the shop you purchased the case and replace it into new one.

Thanks and best regards,
slash.kim

Hi
Thanks for your help and advice, i have tried operating the device outside of the case like suggested but iMON manager still pops up all the time. I am beginning to think i have some faulty hardware.
The strange thing is that it does randomly work sometimes for about a few minutes and then goes back to iMON manager popping up.

Dear Chaggy78,

If the problem randomly occurs even it operated outside of the case, there maybe something electrical short or abnormal soldering on iMON hardware PCB board itself. Though it is annoying thing but you'd better replace it into new one.
