Hello,
I just bought a Luxa2 LM100 Mini which is provided with a iMON PAD remote control.
I use Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits and iMON Manager (version 7.78.1125 auto updated).
My problem is that some emulated keyboard commands sent by iMON are not catched by Media Player Classic HC and XBMC.
I tried to setup iMON all the week-end without any success and decided to install eventghost to see if iMON was sending regular keyboard events.
I discovered that EventGhosts was not able to catch some events sent by iMON PAD as Left, Right, Up and Down arrows. Of course, iMON Manager is configured by default to send these commands for any program. And it works with some MS programs like Notepad or Internet Explorer, but not with others like MPC-HC or XBMC.
For information, I made 2 additional tests :
- I tested directly with my keyboard, and EventGhost was able to receive any key pressed on my keyboard, even the arrows that are not catch from iMON. I suspect then a wrong keyboard emulation from iMON.
- I have a Logitech Harmony and I emulated a Windows MCE remote with it. After the definition of this remote in iMON Manager in replacement to the iMON PAD, the arrows keys were working. But a lot of other keys as A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, End, were not working.
My conclusion is then that iMON does not seam to send regular keyboard events in Windows 7 64 bits, and it is the reason why XBMC and MPC do not catch the events sent by iMON.
Using MCE remote, I suppose that the arrow keys are managed directly by Windows and it's certainly why it works. But for other personalized commands, non regular keyboard events are sent by iMON and some programs cannot catch them.
Of course, in this situation, the remote control is not usable.
Are you aware of this problem ?
Do you know if there is a patch or something to correct it ?
