I have exactly the same problem. The strange thing is that my htpc isnt connected to the internet so there was no update or change of system whatsoever.

Since Saturday the frontview panel starts popping up when i use the remote or the mouse. Before everything was working fine,

Dear customers,

The problem does not depend on the Software. There can be an electrical short problem. Please check the related thread at LINK (http://www.soundgraph.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58).

Thanks a lot,

Rubbish.....it's not an electrical problem as I've fixed it on my system and I feel for all the people pulling their systems apart with this issue.

The problem is a simple configuration change but it's stumps people due to the poorly written manual and rubbish support people are getting with this product

Dear Funckytechnician,

I’m sorry for your in convenience.

If you press the front KNOB button for 1~2 seconds, iMON pops up FrontView window. This problem happens when iMON keeps receiving the false signal that representing KNOB button pressed.

If you solved the problem with the simple configuration change, your problem may be different with this problem. And please let me know the simple configuration change you did. I think it may be helpful to solve the similar problem.

Under normal operation everything is fine. If the volume knob is pressed in for 1-2 seconds the Frontview window pops up and interferes with the system. If the volume knob is pressed again for 1-2 seconds the Fronview disappears.

You are saying that if the above happens then "iMON keeps receiving the false signal that represents the KNOB button pressed"...

The question to yourselves is why does this happen? Where is the false signal coming from? It's happening with different cases and seems to be some sort of bug within the iMON software.

My update on this problem:

When trying to fix it i took the htpc from my fathers house to my home, so the computer was switched off for a whole day. When switching on the htpc again everything was working fine without me doing anything...

Until now! After 2 months of no problems frontview starts popping up again. This problem stays even if i use old backup images - so its no configuration issue.
But i think it cant be an electrical short problem either since it was working fine before and after the problem happened for the first time.

Any ideas how to solve this?

Dear All,

If you press KNOB 1~2 seconds, FrontView window will be popped up. And you may change Display mode of FrontView with rotating and pressing KNOB. In some faulted product iMON always receive the signal that KNOB is pressed and try to pop up FrontView.

I think that overheating may cause this problem. Please try again after disconnecting AC power for a couple of hours. If it continuously happens, please contact the shop you bought this product and request the replacement.
