Hi,
I have a GMC AVC-S1 case with internal VFD+ir reciever and i guess imon pad.
IMON manager version 7.60.0521
iMon FW ver 0x48
Windows vista
Everything worked ok for a month.
But now remote not working.
The display work perfectly.
When the computer is off the remote can power on the computer.
but after the computer is on the remote do not do anything.
all the controllers on the case work ok (volume and buttons).
allready tried to update to newer version but it didn't help
so i went back to my original version.
I also tried to change the internal usb connection - but still the same.
Any suggestions ?
Thank you

Hi,
I found out that the internal card is divided into two parts
the main one and the display part.
I disconnected the internal cable between those part and now the remote work fine.
and of course the display don't work.
I reconnected the cable and now the display and the remote don't work.
again disconnected the cable and atleast the remote work again.
I guess the problem is at the hardware level.
There is a quite noise from the display card when it is connected.
Can I buy a replacement card ?
Can I get the electric design of the card so I can try fixing it ?
Thank you

Dear yeuda,
Whenever the VFD module connected/disconnected to main PCB it shows different situation, you might have defect one. Please replace the GMC case into new one.
Thanks a lot,

Thank you for the answer
I managed to check the VFD display out of the case.
It work exactly as stated in its datasheets.
I put the VFD back to case and the same situation.
When the VFD connected the remote don't work.
When the VFD disconnected the remote work.
The only exception is when the computer is off and
then even when the VFD connected and working (displaying time)
the remote manage to turn on the computer.
I guess I have a hardware problem
but because of the exception I think there is still a chance it is software based

I´m having exactly the same problem.
When the computer is off the remote can power on the computer.
but after the computer is on the remote do not do anything.
It´s started a week ago, after the last update.

Hello,
I've read last posts ans I've same issue. My remote only works to wake up the PC.
When the boot is completed, only the VFD is working. Neither the front panel buttons( and mute led), nor the remote works under Windows. I've tried with another motherboard and new OS without success.
Do you think it is a hardware/firmware problem ?
VFD/remote are new and have fully worked a couple of days only.
Best regards
Roger
