I just built an HTPC using the Antec Micro Fusion Remote 350 (which comes with the RM100 remote) as a case.
Inside the case there is an Intel Pentium E5300 working an a Zotac Geforce 9300 ITX Mainboard with 2GB RAM. I'm running Windows 7 32bit and have the latest drivers and iMON/iMEDIAN HD Version 7.77.1022 installed and selected the RM100 remote in the software settings.
Now comes my problem: the remote doesn't work at all. The display works just fine and is connected right. The ring of the iMon Indicator is blue, but not a single button on the remote works.
Is there a way to detect, if the remote sensor is broken or if it's the IR receiver?
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software several times, but nothing helps.
I hope you guys can help me.
Thanks

Seppo,

I have exactly the same problem.
I also have a original MCE remote, but also not working.

So, I don't think the problem is caused by the H/W but probably by S/W.

I've read on this forum similair problems and this guy solved it by starting a program within the program files\soundgraph\system directory.
He tried this for Vista and that worked, he has not tried it for W7.

I've done the same, but for my W7 system this did not work.

I will try this one more time with XP, I keep you informed.

Greetz,

Paul

Thanks for the reply, Pauls.

I've also read the post you mentioned. I tried it but didn't work for me, too.
So I'm still hoping for some other solution.

If I can solve the problem I will inform you.

Dear All,

We need more information about your problem. Please let me know the followings.
1. Check if enter button type “enter” in NotePad.
2. Can you power on with the remote?
3. FW version. You can check FW version in iMON Manager>Options>Version/Update.

Some users have similar problem and currently we’re trying to find solution.
Please check the following thread.

Hi,

I've just solved the problem.

Today I updated the iMon software to version 7.78.1125 and now all of the buttons work.
My firmware is 0x380102.

Everything works fine in iMedian HD and Windows Media Center.

The only thing that doesn't work right is the mute button in Windows Media Center.
The button on the remote works and when I press it the display says mute but the sound still on.

Thats the only remainung problem. but I am glad everything else works. I can probably live without the mute function.

I hope this helps some other people with the same problem.

Dear Seppo,

If the remote problem starts to happen, please let me know it on this thread.

And about mute problem, please let me know the followings. I think it would be helpful to figure out this problem.
1. Does Volume Up/Down button on the remote work properly?
2. When Media Center is not running, Does Mute button work properly?

Dear Johnny,

the mute and volume up/down buttons on the remote only work with iMedian but not with Media Center or WMP.
When pressing the mute button the display says mute/unmute, same with the volume buttons, the case display shows the volume value.
But the volume stays the same in Media Center.

Do you have any solution for this?

I also recognised another problem. I tried tho map the Channel +/- buttons to some other functions (ch- to subtitles and ch+ to audio track). now I could change the subtitles but the ch+ didn't work for changing the audio track, neither did any other button on the remote.

I also wanted to map the green button (App. exit) to open/close cd-rom Drive). This sometimes works, but most of the time it doesn't.

Maybe you have some ideas for that, too.

thanks for your help.

Has this ever been resolved?

I've got two new IMon receivers -- an Antec Multimedia Station Basic and a MultiMedia Station E-Z. BOTH came with RM100 remotes -- and NEITHER works !!

I've tried (a) the software that came with them (IMon v7.77); (b) the latest version (7.95); and (c) version 7.60, which this thread said might work. NONE of these work with the RM100. I've tried this with Windows 7 (the system I bought them for); Vista, and XP. Makes no difference -- NONE of these work with the RM100 using any of the 3 versions I've tried.

Needless to say, it's FRUSTRATING !!
