Online Report of SoundGraph at CEATEC 2009, Japan

CEATEC JAPAN 2009 is a B2B-specialized exhibition held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba city from 10/06 to 10/10. More than nine hundred companies, as well as SoundGraph, joined in this year. During the exhibition, it allowed us to review and read the recent trend of IT devices and services in Japan and Asian countries. The SoundGraph booth was located at 4B27-1, Hall 4 in the SBA pavilion.

Our table was placed toward the pathway of visitors and the main products were demonstrated on it. Two of FingerVU 706 and one FingerVU 436 were connected to one laptop having 24” main monitor, and iMEDIAN HD was running.

The rear wall was decorated with posters of FingerVU, FingerUI and iMON series. FingerVU and iMON series were displayed on the rear shelves. SoundCube, our prototype 2.2 channel speaker, was not displayed on the front but it made clear sound during the FingerVU demonstration.

FingerVU

FingerVU, targeted to be announced and released before the end of this year, is a USB touch-screen monitor. It allows us to play various media files in PC by finger-touch and to run various widgets easily. FingerVU was shown with much more updated hardware/software features than that in the previous exhibition, Computex 2009.

A movie below shows demonstration of FingerVU in the CEATEC. You can see the various media playback and widgets in FingerUV.

During the show, a typhoon attacked Tokyo area and public transportations in the exhibition area were shut down for a while. Due to this, buyers and visitors were decreased compared to the previous year. However, after the typhoon, many of local and foreign buyers had visited our booth and showed their high interest on the FingerVU product.

We will make our best effort to create the most useful and completed new product before we launch the FingerVU to the market.

Thank you,
