Online Report of SoundGraph at Computex 2009, Taipei
We were pleased to join the Computex 2009 held in Taipei. The SoundGraph booth in Computex 2009 was located at M635, 4th floor of NanGang Hall. Computex is becoming more popular with increased visitors after moving to NanGang Hall from TWTC.

It was the first time for SoundGraph to have independent, separate booth in this exhibition. The interior concept of this booth was ‘Coffee Shop’. We also put a big table like a bar in the middle of the booth for better communication with buyers and end users. White and blue was used as major colors for the booth to make fresh theme and look.
We displayed new products we had been developing during the half of this year, as well as iMON ODM/OEM and retail products, and got great attentions and feedbacks from buyers and end users.

FingerVU
FingerVU targeted to be announced in the second half of this year is a USB touch-screen monitor. Other than the other auxiliary monitors, it can be controlled by independent finger-touch or a remote-controller, and its application is separated from the main monitor and system. Therefore, it can be used like another system, not just another monitor.
The main functions of FingerVU are media file playback and widget feature. A new software FingerUI has been developing for control of FingerVU. FingerUI includes various sub-modules such as music, video, picture, photo frame, Youtube, memo, Google news, world weather and world time. FingerUI and its sub-modules will be updated more like iMON/iMEDIAN HD. Now we are currently developing 4.3” and 7.0” screen products and planning to develop the next series like a wireless model in the future.

SoundVU
SoundGraph has also been developing new concept speaker products as another product line-up. The speaker we are now creating is not just a simple speaker, but a visual speaker having display feature. When we listen to music or watch video, the media playback information can be displayed on the front display panel. Audio input of the speaker is not analog but digital audio signal transferred through a USB line so that we can hear high quality audio. The prototype speakers we demonstrated at this Computex are SoundCube having 2.2 channels and SoundBar having 4.1 channels.

SoundCube was designed for the use on a table. An OLED display panel, which is being developed for iMON ODM/OEM market, is placed in front of the SoundCube. Using the OLED display, various media playback information can be shown fast with beautiful look. It makes a great sound balance of high and low frequencies for suitable and enjoyable listening music. Especially when a PC is used for listening music, SoundCube will be definitely useful if you want high resolution and full performance with no-loss audio formats supported by iMEDIAN HD.

SoundBar was designed for the people who watch movies and play games in their PC. 4-channel front speakers and 10” unit woofer generates a powerful sound in any room. The 4-channel front speakers have virtual surround effects according to user’s choice during the movie playback or game. SoundBar will be a suitable product when a PC is mainly used for the media playback or for a home theater in living room.
In the middle of SoundBar, 4.3” FingerVU displays media playback information and you can simply control the media files by finger-touch. We are planning to release the SoundVU products in the first half of the next year after various field tests.

Hummin’ 3.0X
We also showed another new concept of Hummin’. Model numbers of the new Hummin’ products are 3.01, 3.02 and 3.03 according to its display type. These new Hummin’ products are HTPC cases using a mini ITX mainboard, new trend of HTPC market. The front door was designed to be open/close, and a DVD-ROM or a HDD bay can be placed inside the door. The integrated OLED and FingerVU on the front door can visualize information while playing media. We will finalize the prototype of Hummin’ 3.0x model by the end of this year.

We got a great attention from the buyers and presses. We would like to give our greatest regards to all the visitors who came by our booth during the exhibition. For the people who were not able to join the exhibition, we hope you could check our new products online.
We will keep making our best efforts to develop creative products having new concepts.
Thank you,
